Talking Good Luck to University of Georgia girls!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,

I just got back from Rush workshop at UGA, and I am SO excited about Rush after watching my girls practice so hard today! Rush starts tomorrow morning, so I just wanted to tell everyone, rusher or rushee, Delta Zeta or other sorority member, GOOD LUCK with Rush this week! I'm sure you'll all do beautifully!

Thumbs up

A lot of the local colleges will be starting rush within the next 2 weeks or so--UGA but also Auburn, Tech, Ga Southern, West Ga, Valdosta, Brenau, and Samford, and then Bama and Birmingham Southern will have slightly deferred rush in the middle of September. How did we get to rush season--it was just June a few minutes ago!!

I know what you mean Carnation--

It seems like only yesterday that I was taking final exams! Are your daughters going through rush this fall? Wish your AOPi daughter good luck for me! Hope they have a successful rush!

Hey OTW!!!!

No, none of our huge crowd is rushing this year but we'll have TWO next year. Our AOPi is getting ready to start her first rush as a member and I can't wait to hear how they do!

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd give you an update on UGA Rush. This year, the number of rushees is approximately 1400, which means that nearly 80 girls were attending each 1st round party. Talk about a lot of people!

The girls are starting 2nd round today which is the theme round where they put on skits for the rushees. (I won't say what skit my girls are doing, but it's REALLY, REALLY cute.)

Round three will take place on Saturday since classes begin on Thursday. Rush temporarily shuts down on that day and Friday so that none of the girls become too stressed having to deal with new classes and Rush at the same time.

All the reports I've gotten so far say that each sorority is doing well this year and that the rushees are overall a great bunch of girls!

That's all the info I have for now! I'm going back for 3rd round on Saturday and for Pref on Sunday, so I'll give y'all an update next week!

Love in the Greek Bond,
Carrie

Hey everyone! Even though this was a orginally a UGA post, I just wanted to say I am helping the Georgia State University AOTT chapter with recruitment(I am orginally an Elon College AOTT) and I wanted to say good luck to all of them and to everyone else who is a part of such a crazy process that is called RECRUITMENT! I can't wait!
PS--if anyone out there is a Georgia State AOTT, e-mail me!

DZRose93,

Do you know if there is any kind of list for UGA with the names of the girls after they've been placed? I know Auburn and UA both had one of those on their websites last fall.

Hey Liz, I have no idea if it's still there, a friend of mine e-mailed me the link back in December. Greek Life is such a big deal at UA, I don't understand why they don't have good website space devoted to it!!! (Unless I am just completely missing it...)

Good luck to you too!!! Isn't this SO exciting? I've been on GC for like 6 months now, anticipating rush... ITS ALMOST HERE

Orchid--- I know!!! There's definately not much to see about UA greek affairs on their website. As a matter of fact, I've never really found jack-squat about it from their website directly. Oh well. They DEFINATELY need someone to work on that!!!!!!!

Orchid2,

I don't know right offhand if UGA has a list like that - but I'll ask the girls when I see them this Saturday and get back to you!
