Was Barber Shop a good flick?

I was so busy this weekend that I didn't get the chance to see Barber Shop and so I'm depending on folks to give a sista the 411 about it.

Should I go and see it this weekend or wait for the rental?

Thumbs up Support our artists & films please...

Any film is not going to please everybody, so make sure you go check it out for yourself and make your own decision. We should at least go out and support our artists and films though, its not often we see black films hit the "mainstream" theaters without centering around the "thug life".

I saw the film Sunday, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I see it is going to become another one of my favorites. I am a sistah that loved Friday (the first one) to death also....take that for what it's worth.

Eee-Yip Goddesses! ...until the Dawn!

Thumbs up

I enjoyed the movie, although I knew that some people would probably get offended about the comments Cedric the Entertainer made about Rosa Parks, Jesse Jackson, and Martin Luther King. You really have to see the movie for yourself!

I enjoyed the movie as well, and for those that saw the movie...remember OJ DID IT. I loved Ced's voice when he said that.

Sorhors and Sistafriends,

Thanks for your comments and input about the movie! Godwilling, I'm thinking about seeing it this evening, Saturday, September 21, 2002 because it has been a very long work week and I need a good laugh.

Barber Shop was just okay!

They went a little too far with the jokes about Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King!

Eve needs brush up on her acting skills!

Why did they have to use so much profanity? I would have been a better flick if they left some of that out!

Red face

Boy, that movie is really causing a stir! The media is really focusing on whether the statements about Rosa Parks are really true! Folks it was just a punch line in a black comedy! Get over please!!

We all know that her actions help spark a segment of the modern Civil Rights Movement!
