The bar's open, what's your poison?
So when you go out, or just kick back with friends, what’s your drink of choice?
Mine are -
Beer: Bass Ale and Bud Lite
Wine: Merlot
Mixed drink: Absolut Mandarin/7Up, Chocolate Martini, 7&7
Please be prepared to tell what’s in the mixed drink if it sounds unfamiliar….
Disclaimer: This post is no way advocating the use and/or abuse of alcohol. Those under the legal drinking age, please adhere to the law and refrain from trying these drinks out. Those of you addicted to alcohol, please use the Back button so that I don’t feel guilty about making you fall off the wagon. Those of you not addicted, but your friends might call you a lush, remember – everything in moderation…Those of you who don't drink, feel free to disclose what you do like to drink when you go out with your drinking friends - who knows we might try it . Finally, be responsible and don't drink and drive. Whew, got all that!?!

When I do drink, it's frozen ice cream drinks at TGI Friday's: Strawberry Shortcake, Barnamint Bailey's. I actually like Citrona, also. If none of the above are available, Midori sour or whiskey sour will do.

I love the disclaimer, chicagoagd.
I don't really have a "favorite" drink. It really all depends on where I am and my mood at the time.
Since it's football season, I'll most likely be drinking Miller Lite if watching the college games on TV and having a Fuzzy Navel or glass of wine if I'm tailgating.

I enjoy fuzzy umbrella drinks... that's what i call them at least. Y'know, the kind that resemble shlushees when they don't have alcohol in them. So basically the mixed drinks at Fridays or Applebees.
But i can't avoid a good white wine. And my new drink of choice: vanilla twist vodka with diet coke. it's "vanilla coke" with a bang and the nutrasweet in the diet coke gives a small kick in the end.

LOL at the disclaimer -- are you an attorney??
My drinks of choice are either good beer or cider, which to me means anything like Black Dog Honey Raspberry, or an India Pale Ale or Woodchuck or Woodpecker cider. If not beer, I'm partial to a nice wine, probably a shiraz or merlot. Mixed drinks and I don't go too well together because they're often too strong and they are known to result in me sitting drunkenly at a bar by myself buying a bottle of Cristal and sharing it with complete strangers.

-Bloody Marys for early afternoon football games...
-Vodka Cranberry when I feel like a sophisticated mixed drink.
-A nice Shiraz or Merlot is good anytime
-A good chanpagne is also always good - Veuve Cliquot, Dom or Cristal when I can get it
-Vanilla Vodka and Coke has become a large part of my evenings out lately.
BTW, anyone who likes the "vanilla coke" should try a liquor called Das Comet and coke. Das Comet is Vanilla Schnapps made by the same people as Rumplemintz, and also like 100 proof. VERY good, but hard to find at a bar. I know Dave and Buster's has it...

Wow! You have $$ to blow like THAT? LOL. What bar do YOU go to? (I want some free Cristal, lol)
Ah, a timeless topic...
My favorites:
Long Island Iced Tea
Kamikaze
Vodka n Cran
Amaretto Sour
Cosmo
And Dionysus, I thought you didn't drink! See? Turn 21, and look what happens, lol.

Well I love long island ice teas, fuzzy navels, rum and coke, as well as scredrivers. I drink Coors lite, Equiza, and Corona as well and when it is my guy friends time to buy alcohol they go for the cheap-Natural Ice- which has a higher alcohol content than other beers.
I tried a drink at Chilli's called Calypso something---it was so good!!

At the bar, Stoli Rasberry and Soda, or Cosmos if my wallet is big that night! Although, at Tiki Room in NYC they serve a yummy Berry Champagne - champagne and fresh berry puree! Mmmmm
With dinner, a nice peppery red wine...

Beer: Hoegaarden or (duh) Rolling Rock
Mixed: Bloody Mary, but it has to be made PROPERLY - none of this "throw cheap vodka in a glass of Mrs. T's" mess.
I'm not really a wine drinker, although the way this day has been going I'm ready for some Boone's in a paper bag.

I need a new drink for happy hour... it has to have 1 bottom shelf liquor in it... I'm tired of Vodka/Tom Collins, fuzzy navels and rum and coke.... Any ideas?
