Things we've found to work.
Just a few things that my brothers and I try to do for fall rush when the new students start to come in. Being that many of ppl living in the dorms move in on the Saturday before classes being, which is the 1st of September this year, and leases from around campus are usually up on this day also, we like to do what we call a "bag drag." OMG does this work, we all get up at 6 a.m....yea..it's early...but move in starts at 7. We all meet at the house, have a huge breakfast, and head out for the dorms and surrounding neighborhoods. We are equipped with flyers, pamphlets and other forms of literature. We help out those that need help moving in, and we pass along information on the fraternity as we do it. IT WORKS...and we get positive recognition from the university for doing these things. Other things that we may do are help the newer prespectives around campus, like finding classes, the library, computer labs, offices and what not. It works, it's really helpful and even if you don't get someone to pledge, they can still be a possible friend, which I have made quite a few in the process. Just something to think about, but it's been successful for us, not sure how it will be on other campuses.
