Should we go to war?

My heart is presently disenchanted with the thought of going to war. Haven't we gone through enough? How do you feel about this?

exactly the same way you feel. After 9/11 I've just about had it; isn't there another way to resolve the matter. I know the United States is only trying to protect but my goodness. It will only conjure up more attacks and the works!

Unhappy Play on Words

no i don't want anymore people to die, we should have finished the job in Iraq the first time around, but since we didn't, HERE WE GO AGAIN. technically we are not at "war" with anyone, we call them "conflicts" there hasn't been any official "declaration of war" against anyone to my knowledge, YET.

To put it very simple... We need to stay out of other folks bizness. The reason we were attacked is because we were in their bizness when we should have been worrying about our own. We have far to many problems at home to be spending money on wars with other people. What happen to the "War on Drugs", War on poverty, War on violence in our schools, War on the social and moral decline of our country?!?! We as a country waste money on the wrong things. If it is the UN's job to see that Iraq is handled accordingly... let them do their JOB. If the call upon us to help then that's what we will do. We lost to many live on 9/11. I don't want to see more lost because we are trying to play big brother.

Actually, we are at war. We are having a war on terrorism. That was decided a while after the WTC attacks. We still have troops over there, tearing stuff up and looking for the ever illusive Osama bin Laden and his al-Quida network. The thing about wars is that it makes money, as opposed to wasting it. Yes, there is lots of money that is wasted. But when you look at the amounts of money that it brings in, there is no comparison. The only reason that most people don't know that is because WE don't see it. It goes straight to the big wigs.

I don't actually agree with going to war with anyone else because it is a waste of time. Saddam Hussein and Bush are really doing this to see who has bigger ba**s (excuse my phase). Hussein is trying to show Bush that he is not the world boss that he is trying to be. Bush is trying to not look like a punk. People are sneaking in on what is supposed to be the greatest nation in the world. Hussein is blasting him every chance that he gets. Therefore, he has to flex his muscles and show that he is badder than he really is. He is really touchy about what Saddam says because he knows that he IGNORED the first warnings. Now, he doesn't want to let anything else get past him for fear that he will be in deeper hot water than he is now.

When is the next presidential election? Bush makes me sick....

Not soon enough! I agree with the woman in German who said he is going to war with Iraq to get everyone mind off the fact that he has not gotten Bin Liden. He is using Saddam to make the American lose sight of the fact that our economy is horrible and has set this country back about ten years. Two years sgo everyone was riding high. Now, we are all basically living in fear of terrorism and some of us are afraid we might lose our jobs.

Bush has no support from any other nation.(britian doesn't count, because for some reason they want to be our friend so bad.) I think it's horrible that he want to send our sons, daughters, sisters, and brothers to Iraq for what seems to be political reasons only.

I think we need to stay on task and make Osama Bin Liden pay for what he did. He and his group and any other group that may think of doing something else to the USA need to know they will be punished.

My opinion...

I think going to war will simply make matters worse. As of what I know no one is really stirring up any trouble...of course the possibilities are always there, however other than the 9/11 terrorists I think we are ok for now. Going to war will only make things chaotic and dangerous for us. Can't everybody just get along????
