New Slang

Since its offesive to people I don't want to offend to say "thats gay" when something is less than agreeable, I started to say "thats retarded." Then I realized that I probablly couldn't hook up with that cute special education major if I pissed her off on a regular basis. So now I will use "Thats Amish." Because they will never find out about it.

I tend to use the phrase "that's gay" also.

One night I got drunk and made some stupid comment about how people got bent out of shape about using words that had more than one meaning. I said something along line of...if someone says the word gay they mean happy, stupid, or homosexual...if you are confused as to which way they are using it ask them about it.

I say, say what you want to say. You can't please everybody. My aunt is a lesbian and she doesn't get offended when someone in the family says "oh, that's gay". My half-sister is mentally retarded but I don't get bent when people say "that's retarded."

Hey Billy, I live out in the middle of BFE so I might hop, skip, and jump over to some Amish families and tell them what you're going to start saying

I agree!

Reminds me of one of my favorite jokes...

"What goes, Clop Clop, Clop Clop (repeat it about 10 times),
BANG! Clop Clop, Clop Clop...

Answer: An Amish drive-by...

(rim shot!)

I used to say "thats gay" all the time until I started college and work, where there is a LOT of openly gay people. There were a few times when I slipped in front of a gay person and I felt really bad.

I used to say "That's Gay" too. But then you grow up and know someone who is actually GAY and you realize you can't go around saying stuff like that.
I do like the Amish one though!

(rim shot!) LOL! FUNNY!

I'm not too creative here-if it sucks- I say stinks.

When my kids made me angry, you know the point where you could cuss them up one end and down the other, I'd call them a PICKLE! When they were REALLY bad-Dill pickle. When they were bad but humorous-sweet pickle. When they did something so TOTALLY off the wall, irresponsible or just down right thoughtless-PICKLE HEAD!

My kids don't like pickles!

Saying mentally retarded is not good. I think its kinda offensive. There is nicer ways of saying someone is mentally retarded. There mentally challenged or whatnot. My good friend has a brother who has Down Sydrome. She gets mad when people say retarded.

Words I say, one is jackasshole, its a combo os jack@ss and @sshole usually when someone well is a jerk and a major a hole. Oh I used to say pish posh. What can I say, it was a phase. Oh when I'm angry I sometimes say farden hell or flubbin nubbit, don't ask me how I got those words, I just do. Oh another phase of say a wierd word, saying krickey (sp?) like the Austrailia crockodile hunter dude whenever I got frustered. Anyways that's all I can think of right now.

yeah

Yeah, whenever I don't feel like insulting someone's sexuality, I always turn to insulting their religion. Saying "That's Amish" isn't cool enough...I really like "That's Protestant".

--Maybe tomorrow I can start on race as well: "Hey dude, that's Hispanic, but don't worry it's not Gay!"

Everyone used to say that's retarded, then that's gay came along, I persoanly don't say that's retarded because my best friend's sister is metally challenged, and I have friend who is gay, so I just usually say that is stupid.

Uh, the older I get, the stupider (see, I invented a new word) I think I may be.

Should I be offended?
