Okay, after reading PM_Mama's post in the 40 Acres thread, as well as the many new UF_Pike threads...

I think that we have blown the name thing way out of proportion. PM_Mama, just because we respond directly to your posts doesn't mean we are insulting you. You have said yourself you are prejudiced. Sorry if it hurts to hear someone else repeat it.

As far as INSULTS, I think that crosses the line. But that is up to the person being insulted. In my opinion though, if you feel that another member has directly insulted you with no provocation, I think it would be better to dialogue with that person (if possible, not saying all members are so receptive), than to get the post deleted. I think going to a mod should be the last resort.

We have all had issues with the moderation of this forum at some point (myself included), and I repeatedly voiced my displeasure with what I perceived to be selective deletion and/or editting of threads. However, recently I think that there has been some hyper-sensitivity on the parts of some members that is causing the mods to look bad here. If you are gonna insult someone be prepared for the consequences. On the other hand if you post something controversial, don't be surprised or offended when people react strongly. Does that make sense?

I don't think it's causing the "mods" altogether to look bad.

For instance, Tom Earp isn't looking bad, neither is James or John Hammel. Zeta Ace isn't looking bad either, I just had to set her straight and have some questions answered. Hopefully we have settled everything via PM. I think she knows I was only in a pissy mood because of stress from school starting and that I think she's actually a good mod compared to some others. It's just she she didn't understand what I was really asking when I made a post. It's like I told her, some other chick from GC took what I said and twisted it to say something else and by the time she got through all the responses it had her in an uproar, to the point where she totally missed what I was asking and thought I was demanding an explanation for an edit.....the fact was I didn't care about the edit...in fact I wished she would have deleted the whole thing.....I was asking about an acutal thread I started where I saw it had been deleted....1 in which YOU posted on......


BTW----how's tally???? I know this weekend I'm going up to Gainesville for the season opener against UAB.......

Actually the sensitivity I was referring to came from other members who assumed that the recent threads meant something that they did not. I actually think you had a pretty valid point with your threads. I just mentioned them (the threads) because they are the latest ones to question the mods.

I don't think all of the mods look bad either, but when things go down, we tend to blame them all.

Tally is hectic. First week of school and the football game was TOO close, lol. Good luck to the Gators. I want them to be undefeated when we get there.
