Plano, Texas

I am going to be in Plano, Texas Labor Day weekend and i was wondering what are some good restaurants and shopping malls there. I have never been there, or anywhere near the Dallas area so any advice will be appreciated.

I am going to be there on my brithday so thats why i was interested in good restaurants.

There are a ton of restaurants in and around Plano. Just depends on what you are in the mood for. As for shopping malls, there is the Shops of Willow Bend. It a really upscale type of mall. They have a Japanese buffet restaurant called Todais(sp?) It's kind of pricey, but you get a free meal on your birthday.

Here's the website for Plano just so you can get some ideal of things to do in the city. www.planotx.org

Hope this helps

If you are a bargain hunter, Grapevine Mills, isn't too far from Plano (20 min) and has some excellent stores - Sak's Off Fifth, Neiman Marcus Last Call, and a huge Virgin Records Megastore.

Prospective Rushee is correct, Willow Bend is a very new, very upscale mall. Be sure you bring plastic.
