Question More rush questions...

Okay there's still one thing about rush that I'm curious about. The way I understand it, during rush we're put into groups and we stay with that group and visit each house. Am I correct about that? My next question is how do they assign the groups? Are the names just randomly selected, is it alphabetic order, or what?

My rush group was my dorm floor. It was a huge dorm and every floor/wing was its own group. That probably varies campus to campus though.

Our groups were in alphabetical order for the Rho Chi (advisement) groups and for the first set of parties, which we attended together. After that, since everyone was going back to different parties, we only saw our Rho Chi/alphabetical groups in meetings at night.

I think the way some campuses do it is go through the alphabet and count off by however many groups there are, know what I mean? That way all the "a"s, etc. aren't in one group. (I just had a vision of these poor sororities trying to remember which Smith or Jones was which! )

Our Rho Chi groups are just done randomly. I don't know if they pick names out of hats or what, but they're all mixed up into groups of however many they need to be manageable. Of course, at state schools in PA, that seems to be less and less of a worry.

Hey now We ghetto girls stuck together I thouht But really, at Millersville this year, they had 16 women sign up for formal recruitment...and they have like 7 sororities!!!! Ridiculous. We had 56, and we have 10 sororities. Time to revamp? I think so

when i rushed we were with the girls from our hall all night for the first round of parties, then each following night rushees are randomly assigned a schedule... you don't move around as a group after the first round since everyone is going back to different places. each girl has an individualized schedule.
