Hey everyone!
Not sure if this has been done before, but since we are getting some GREAT new members, I was wondering if people wanted to share their AOL names so that we can all talk! I think it would be so great to talk to sisters from all over the place!

I'm bad about turning on my IM program but now that I have other sister's contacts I'll keep it on more! If you don't already have it, check out a program called Trillian at http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/index.html. It's a shell program
that will run all of the IM programs and IRC. I really like it, it's a lot better than running multiple IMs!

I don't have an AOL screen name because we have kids who have recently discovered the joys of the internet. They especially love the shopping aspect! Maybe we are too strict, but we decided to limit their ability to communicate with other people on the web as a security measure, and so we don't use instant messenging in our household. In the meantime, I am enjoying communicating with you all on GC!

I can understand that! We've got boys, and although they don't care much about the shopping aspect we control what they can and can't do online. Everything goes through one of my e-mail addresses and we keep the net-connected computer in the family room so no one can hide online
Just like in the real world, we've got to think about our children's safety online as well.
