Cool News from IHQ!
I recieved our big mailer from IHQ today and read something really interesting! Check it out!
International Council is pleased to announce the approval of a new Honor of Epsilon Pi, which is designated as the Arc with Diamonds and Pearls. This honor will be awarded for the first time during Convention 2004.
The Arc of Epsilon Pi with Diamonds and Pearls is bestowed upon an alumna member who has already recieved the Arc with Diamond and Pearl and who has thereafter continued to give outstanding service for a minimum of six consecutive years to a collegiate chapter, to an alumnae chapter or club, to a Province, to the International Fraternity, or a combination of such service.
The member who recieves this Honor will have given a minimum of 29 years of service to Alpha Gamma Delta! I think that it is wonderful that IC continues to recognize and applaud our wonderful alumnae who give so much of themselves for the betterment of Alpha Gam!
Kudos to them all!

I got it too! I am happy cuz this means I am official JC Chairmen (Now i am just waiting for IHQ to send me a list of everyone, I better not have to do a sister search ).
I was excited to see that in 2004, they will be publishing a History of Alpha Gamma Delta book. I will definately by that one.

Leslie, this wasn't an email. Its a big packet of information that IHQ sends out a couple of times a year. I think that they send it to the Alumnae Chapter and Club Presidents, the Junior Circle Chairs and the college chapters.
So don't feel bad, you haven't been left out of the loop!

Leslie, like Maria said it was no biggie.
I'm not gonna go into detail, but it just had forms for...
alum dues
award nominations, along with who got what last time
Theme for IRD in 2003
Make Centennial Song
Convention Mintues from 2002 or was it 2001.
Our Stance On Hazing
who our vendors are
Changes in policy
Stuff you pretty much already know.

Just out of curiosity, what's the theme for next year's IRD?

The 2003 theme for IRD is "A Bouquet of Friendship."

Tonya, congrats on becoming JC Chairman (or Chairwoman?)! I got an e-mail from Rebecca Battle Bryant today about the Philly JC and she said she would call me sometime this week about setting it up.
I am so excited about the 2004 Convention...2 years seems so far away! I'm probably going to end up buying every piece of Alpha Gam memorabilia that they offer, so I'm definitely getting that book.

Good luck with Philly JC! Let us know how it goes!
As for the Convention, start saving your money now! I went crazy at the Rose Garden and at Burr Patt so I can only imagine how it's going to be when it comes to Centennial memorabilia!

Rebecca and I will be speaking on the phone tomorrow evening (Wednesday) regarding the Philadelphia JC. I'm so nervous and excited! One good piece of news...she said that someone else contacted her about it, so I may have a co-chair. I really hope that happens, because I am kind of apprehensive about doing this by myself. Anyway, I just thought I'd share...I'll let you know what happens!
Ack, I am thinking about how busy I'm going to be between advising and taking my class and starting this JC! Although, it will be nice to be able to focus on something besides how much I miss my boyfriend and how much my job sucks.

Good luck Donielle!
You know, there isn't an active JC in my area either...once some of you get your JCs up and running, you'll have to give me pointers. I'm not ready to try to tackle that just yet!

Wow! Congrats to all the new JCs forming out there! I am trying to start an Alum chapter here in North Georgia and would love to see a JC too!
I like the 2003 theme for IRD! Does anyone in Georgia know where the state IRD is going to be held this year?
Also, I am really excited about Convention too!!!! Where is it again?
