Clubs For Young Alumni
I was just wondering if any other GLO has a club for its younger alums?
Alpha Gam has what is called a Junior Circle for recent alums to 35 years of age. You can be part of a JC and alum club at the same time, its just that a JC is more informal.
Again, any other orgs. have something similar to this?

Alpha Phi has one called "Ivy Connection."
From the Alpha Phi web site......
An Ivy Connection is designed to offer a bridge from the collegiate experience into alumnae life. The Ivy Connection provides a mechanism for young alumnae to meet socially and offers opportunities for personal and professional networking. It is targeted towards Alpha Phis who have been out of college 10 years or less. The goal of an Ivy Connection is to promote programming that will cater to this age group. Ivy Connection activities and schedules are very flexible, depending on each group's needs, thus making this type of organization a very appealing opportunity for younger alumnae!

Kappa Delta does not have anything similar to the best of my knowledge. However, our recently re-established AA group is mostly made of up of younger alums, which is fun.

Alpha Delta Pi has "Junior Circles" in certain parts of the country. In Los Angeles they have a tremendously active "Junior Circle." I think it's a fabulous idea, a great way to transition women from college life into the alumnae experience.

ZTA has Loyalty Links for alumnae that have been out of school five years or less. They are a sub-group of an established alumnae chapter, plannng their own events as desired and participating with the 'older' alumnae on events such as Founder's Day, etc.

Nationally, Delta Zeta doesn't have an official group for young alumnae. However, my local alumnae chapter does.
I and another sister started the 35 and under group a little over a year ago, and it's been very successful. We meet for brunch on Sunday once a month, Friday night happy hours, and Monday night Bunco games. It's a lot of fun, and it's an attractive option for a lot of recent DZ grads who prefer activities of that nature to our more structured local alumnae chapter that is made up of a wide variety of ages.

Night Owls
KKG has a "young alumnae" group called "Night Owls" in many of the larger Alumnae Associations (like Boston).
I don't think the Night Owls program is a National initiative, so like DZ, different AAs around the country handle "young alumnae" groups differently.
I am a HUGE fan of the Night Owls program; it can be intimidating to be a 22 year old recent-grad attending AA events with mostly women who are 40 years older than you.
Don't get me wrong; I LOVE our older alumnae, and LOVE doing all kinds of things with them (meetings, Founder's Day, Holiday Dinners, Potlucks, etc.). But it is also great (and important) to have Kappa peers who are close to you in age.
I wish Kappa would--on a National level--do more to engage its recently graduated collegian members, and to help them make the transition from collegiate to alumna.
I'm glad to hear about ZTA's, ADPi's, and APhi's national young alumnae programs....y'all are ahead of the curve!
