Rush from a Rush chair

hey!

I hope everyone is having a good Week, especially since Recruitment is here or just around the corner! I am Recruitment Chair for my sorority!! God, Can i say LOTS OF WORK now that it has actually started. School starts on the 26th but Recruitment activities start on campus today!! We help with MOve-in for 4 days and ha ve events that we are sponsoring on top of Recruitment practices and getting everything ordered and striaght for Formal that starts on the 12th! I still don't have BID DAY shirts ( our chapter doesn't have the money to order them till next week) Has anyone ordered form Graphic Cow? that is who we are going with. If there are any Rush chairs that have Advice for me let me know i'm about the scream!! my roomie has been warned ( she move back in a week) that the whole APt is Phi Sig stuff and willbe till the end of recruitment! She just laughed at me!Go figure! Everyone is really Excited about Formal in my chapter esp our Advisors. they think this year will be really good for the school and for our chapter. they are expecting 100 plus girls to go through formal which is good cause we did spring rush and we would only have 30 girls go through. There are 5 sororities and NOONE is at Total!! total is 50 the largest sorority is at 38! I"M SOOO NERVOUS!!

i will keep everyone posted about Recruitment as it goes by!

Just relax and take a deep breath! You'll do great!!!! I can definitely tell that you have worked hard on all the activities!!! Rush will come and go soon!!! Just relax!

I'm glad to heard the someone has used Graphic Cow noone at our school has But the Shirts are SOO cute and they are cheaper than other companies i have looked at! I have to call Monday to get price quotes on some shirts. I think that i will be taking LOTS or bubbles baths now and until the end of formal recruitment!!That is a great way to relax!! Our Recruitment is No frilss but it still is a lot of work! We are allowed to have themes abd to make props, we just can't spend more than 300 dollars! it is a strange no frills to me!! We have slide show night and philantrophy night and we can not have balloon arches!

At least you do your job! Our rush chair decided to give her little all the work to do bc she wasn't expecting the rush chair to have so much to do(Hello you're a senior you should know by now!!!!).
I think being rush chair is one of the coolest positions, but I get srtressed out easily so there is no way I could run for it!!

That is funny that you said that because my friend in ASA told me that their Rush cchair gave up her position, but it was because she wasn't sure if she was transferring schools. But i think she is helping with recruitment cause she was qt the meeting last week for all rush chairs by Panhell. i didn't realize how stressful formal was. I have everything straight for our COB events! I guess it is formal is a rough time for the actives esp for the exec board1 i know our prez is just as stressed as me!! I have actually become better friends with her and our V.P since our elections because we have a BIG part in the sorority. Prez,VP and MRC are hte most important positions in our chapter!

Congrats on getting the Rush Chair! I'm about to become a rushee, but I can imagine how hard it would be to put all of that stuff together. Good luck, I bet you'll do great!
