Hey Boys and Girls...I am a Rho Chi for my school's fall Recruitment and we like to try to confuse the potential new members a bit by making it hard for them to guess what chapter we are from. If you know any fun and/or interesting facts about these sororities (AGD, AST, AZD, DZ, SDT, Tri Sigma, Sigma Kappa, or Phi Sig), please post...or if you want to share cool things about your chapter for other Rho Chis please share that too! I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but I can tell you one thing we did on Bid Day (I was a Rho Chi). When they get their bids, we then reveal our letters...we all trade block letter shirts and then put on two or three sets, so the first set the girls see is not really ours.
Let me clarify...The potential new members try to catch you saying things about the organizations and from there they try to guess which GLO you belong to. Therefore, I was looking for some fun facts (ex: AGD is the first sorority to admit a non-caucasian woman...Signa Nu helped found AZD...1 of ASTs 8 founders didn't initiate)that are interesting about each sorority that most people wouldn't know.
Er... well, One of my best friends is a DZ. Their flower, the Killarney Rose, no longer grows in the wild. It may be extinct, not sure, but that would be fun to check on. I do know that their rose has no thorns. Dunno much about AGD at my school... I never see them. I think they like to hide. Anyway, there's my contribution.
