The house I lived in in northern Colorado didn't have that many members living in house, maybe 16-20. We had a chore board in our study. Each year we had a different way if putting names on the board (item with name) that was velcroed to each chore and was removable. Each week we were responsible for something (vacuuming, dishes, etc). We had an off week. And two other chapter members would rotate in to cleaning our meeting space each week. For those in house, she would initially pull names out of a hat to get them on the board and then move them to the next chore the following week. For the chapter members, she did the same each week to draw the next 2 who would be responsible for meeting room.
