Question I need some help girls...I wanted to which sorority i would best fit in.....thanx

I am a high school junior and am graduating in fall of 2002. I should have a cum GPA of 3.5+ at graduation. I love to party and just have fun wherever i go. I'm not the typical valley-girl preppy though. I dress preppy sometimes but sometimes i DO wear some Gap Jeans and a baby tee. If this is all wrong please let me know so i can not embarr(ass) myself at rush. I am really nice but i don't fit into the Tiffany's jewelry category that i'm seeming to find a lot. Please tell me which sorority would be best for me, if any. I would really love to be in one!!! Thanx ~Tara

Chapters vary from college to college, so it would be hard, if not imposible to say which is right for you untill rush happens. I think you have to dress up for rush, so no jeans. At least that is what I have gathered from this board. I'm not greek yet, but will be eventully. Good luck with highschool and picking the best college for you. You seem like a nice girl, if you don't mind me saying so, and I'm sure that you would fit in with a great group of girls.

Tara,

It's wonderful that you are considering joining a sorority, but your first and foremost responsibility right now is to concentrate on high school and decide which college you want to attend.

2002 is a long time from now, and when you do get to college, and you still want to join a sorority, it will be an uplifting experience. Ultimately it is only you that can decide which organization is the one for you.

The Panhellenic website Amy provided can give you information about the 26 wonderful organizations that belong to that family. When you get to college you'll be armed with several important things to know about the GLOs on your campus.

Good luck.

Tara-

A sorority is like a pair of jeans - you can't tell which fits you best till you try them on & look in the 3-way mirror!

That occurs during Rush/Recruitment. Check out the college you are going to's web site and contact the Greek Life advisor, if you would like more detailed information.

Once you've done that, relax and enjoy the rest of high school!
