personal style?

This is a random question but I was just wondering if you guys have anything that you'd call your "personal style". Do you tend to dress the same way everyday or do your clothes and stuff change with your mood? Just curious!

Interesting question!

No, I don't dress the same way everyday. I dress the way depending those around me dress.

I wear lots of polo shirts, fraternity shirts, khakis, jeans, etc... Nothing out of the ordinary.

Interesting Thread. I would say my style changes day to day. I have so many clothes, because I worked at the Gap for THREE long years. I would say my style is more dressy than the average guy on my campus. I dont think so but, thats what people tell me.

It depends upon the circumstances and the weather. At work, if business casual, it is dockers and polo shirt, otherwise a suit may be in order for meetings. On the motorcycles it is strickly jeans, boots, and leather. Texas summertime casual is shorts. Comfort dictates style for me.

This isn't quite clothes, but sounds like the same type of thing, so...

* I always wear the necklace my parents gave me for my nineteenth birthday, in the shape of my first initial.

* I will read, drive, watch, inspect ANYTHING Volvo.

I'm hopelessly preppy in a lot of ways - I hate trendy things like one shouldered tops, backless tops, etc.

I probably own more rugby shirts than is healthy.

You can never go wrong with a good pair of black shoes.

I abide by the classic, simple and understated rules of fashion. When I buy something, more than likely, its something that will always be a wardrobe staple.

Jewlery wise, I only wear silver. The only exception is when I wear my camel colored turtleneck sweater - My gold love knot earrings go perfectly. Other than that, I wear my Elsa Peretti floating heart or one of my Mignon Faget sets. Right now, I'm so in love with having the whole Red Bean and Rice collection - so CUTE. More often than not, I wear my round tag bracelet.

Oh, I didn't mean just males when I said "guys"...this is a free survey for both genders! It's interesting to see what other people think about when they're buying clothes, how some people go for expensive stuff that's gonna last them years, and others go for cute cheap stuff that will die in the washing machine.

Another question - what do you consider your staple "party outfit" if you have one?

As I have mentioned probably excessively, I tend to be incredibly preppy as well. I think I own every color of the Ralph Lauren polo. But being a Southern Californian, a do have a space in my closet that holds a few Hurley, Volcom and Lost shirts. I admit that I own a lot of Abercrombie, but I will always hold an affinity for Tommy Hilfiger. I love the clean lines of his clothing. I live for my cashmere V-necks and pea-coats as well.

My uniform is usually a collared shirt, khaki shorts/ jeans and Reefs, pearls I received as a Deb gift, and whatever T&Co silver I decide to throw on.

My typical going out outfits? I own a lot of black. It's a sophisticated color. My sense of style is always evolving. I am inspired by odd things...trips, music, moods. But most important is balance. I like to look pulled together, not gaudy.

I will never wear leather pants outside of an exchange. I will never wear a mini skirt. I will never wear a backless top or anythink with the word"spoiled' or "hottie" spelled in glitter on my top. My jeans will never be bedazzled or detailed.

I like you style pbpck. I am really not a fan of souped up jeans.

Thanks. I never want to look back at pictures and say "Oh god...how could I think that looked good?" Well...again...you know... that whole 80's thing...but to my credit, my mother was still dressing me.

volcom

What is volcom and why did I see way too many people at disneyland wearing a shirt with that word?? I thought maybe a band was named volcom and they gave the shirt out for you.

My style varies on how I feel that day . My most frequent styles though are classic, girly/romantic, or sporty!
