Well, one of my chapter's (Eta Lambda) favorite scholarship things is called Geek of the Week. At the chapter meeting each week, for every A you got on a quiz, test, paper in the past week, you put your name in a bag. At the end of the meeting, a name is pulled and that girl gets a prize. (And surprisingly, it's not the same people winning all the time.) It's kinda an incentive to do well. Then, our scholarship chair tallies the A's for everyone in the bag, and at the end of the semester, the person with the most A's gets a gift certificate to somewhere cool, like Victoria's Secret or Banana Republic. We also give end-of-the-semester prizes for all the 4.0's, highest GPA for the semester, and highest cumulative GPA. And the prizes are really, so the competition can get pretty cutthroat. But I suppose if we're competing over good grades, it can't be a bad thing! Hope that helps!

Something that IN Chapter has done (I hope they still do) is what we called a Study Board. The Scholastics Chair bought a lap desk and each week whoever was in posession of the board would pass it along to another sister who had done well on a test or had a big test coming up, something like that. And every person who had the study board would sign their name to it and the date before passing it off to the next person. It's a good way to recognize the academic achievements of the chapter.

At the beginning of each semester, the whole chapter would make GPA goals.... Individually and we came up with a chaptern number. And after grades came out at midterms and finals, the Scholastics chair would hand out Smarties to those who had made their goals and prizes to the people with the top GPAs. It was good incentive, and even better a great recognition of the chapter's accomplishments.
