I'm not gonna get into every show, so I'll just describe ours.
Me and a bro played a marine recruiter and a prospect. Before the show we had a disclaimer saying we hope no one would get offended by our skit because of what was going on in Iraq. Then we asked everyone to do the pledge of allegiance, which I led. We led a dialouge where my bro would ask me about joining the military, and each scene segued into a song about that branch of the mailitary. In between our dialouge our pairing would dance to that song.
First, Gamma Phi tap danced to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Then Phi Psi and my house danced to In The Navy. Then we all danced to Air Force Ones. Then Phi Psi did a number to the theme from Top Gun/Danger Zone After that the girls danced to American Woman. Then everyone danced to Bombs Over Baghdad (That got a standing O). We finished with Party People.
It was great having Gamma Phi sitting in the very front. Their cheers drowned out everyone elses (but we heard them). Everyone chanted USA at one point which I thought was awesome.
So, I dont remember who got the other awards, but we won Spirit which was great, and we got a bunch of seconds and third in originality and creativity.
Oh, KD, KA, UKD and Beta won overall. They deserved it though, they did a Batman skit and it was great.
It was great night (I can't hear though), and I hope it stays that way tommorow night when we have our 6 hour dance marathon.
This is the first greek week Delta Sig has done since rechartering in 1998, so it was great to do this well.
All Money Raised From greek Week (Last year we raised 20,000 for the Boys and Girls Club) will go to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation. I think we already passed last year.
