The term "Que Dog"

I thought was kinda deep... as a man of Alpha, I can agree with the feeling
behind these words.

Just to let you know, I am not a proponent of censorship and I let people express their opinions freely. However, due to the GROSS MISINFORMATION contained in your post, I was compelled to delete it.

Farther down in this forum is a thread entitled "False Information About Your Org" This particular "expose" on the term "Que Dog" falls into that category.

The post was rather egregious first, because you being an Alpha would have no idea if what was written was by a member of Omega Psi Phi or if said information was true, so you really have no idea of what you are in agreement with.

I will say this much, the etymology of the term "Que Dog" and the reverance for the canine animal commonly known as the "Dog" by our Fraternity, in no way, shape, or form, coincides with the drivel that is contained in that essay. It did not derive from "dogging women", calling them "bitches" or starting a sweetheart group to practice misogyny. Nor is the act of imitating a dog by wagging one's tongue an invitation to oral sex.

Unlike the writer of that piece I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. Thanks for the opportunity to refute that nonsense. Everything that you read on the net is NOT TRUE. Be smart people.

First off, let me start by apologizing if the post offended anyone.
I promise that I meant no disrespect by any means when posting this information. I, myself questioned its validity, as I do with all info that I recieve via e-mail. I was only passing it on as " Information". The original e-mail was sent to a Brother of mine from a Delta and he then forwarded it to the Chapter. Also I do not have to be a member of your Organization to agree with a feeling. I didn't say that I agreed with what was said, but with the feeling behind the words. Whether they were true or not is irrelavent.

I agree that because I am not a member of your Org. I had no idea if it was valid info. I was simply passing it on as Information, period. But anyway, thanks for letting me know that it was indeed false information.

Once again, I would like to say that I'm very sorry that this horrible information is going around throughout the greek community. Moreover, fellow greeks we as members of bglos have to stop promoting or even carrying messages to different chat boards and sites. We say that we are united, now let's act it.

I appreciate your maturity in understanding why your post was edited. I still have to disagree though. Let me explain.

When I hear rumors or get emails that seem a little "suspicious" or looks like they are part of an "in house" discussion, I would go to a member of that org with said info for veracity purposes before I posted it worldwide. Now if you shared it with your frat for discussion purposes or laughs, thats cool, its in your possession, you are free to do with it as you please. If the shoe was on the other foot, I might share such info with my Bruhs. But what I don't do is forward anything without a caveat that I have not verified such info and that it is not to be judged as true unless it is confirmed by a member of that org.

Secondly, how can you agree with a sentiment based on a false premise. You can't pass something on as "information" if in fact, it is mis-information.
