Support?

Why will none of my chapter sisters support me coming out as lesbian? Only a few sisters that are still in the closet support me. Phi Mu has many lesbian sisters all over the country and should support them. Some of us even have a club online and is 50+ and growing. Please support us!!

I'm not a lesbian, but I do support you. Last year my roommates were lesbians, and many of my friends are. There is support out there, and people who love you. Hang in there!

I'm bisexual, but I'm more interested in women. My sorority has been supportive of me (I rushed openly gay), but they're still adjusting to me holding hands with a female in my letters. I'm very out and I do get grief for it, but they try! I'm here if you need anything! PM me if you need to.

Oh sweetie! I'm so sorry that you're having a hard time with this. I'm pretty sure my chapter would be supportive of a lesbian sister. I wish there was something to do about it. Have you told the sisters how you're feeling about the way they are taking it? Phi Mus are usually always understanding with their sisters. Hopefully it works out!

I don't want to come off as unsupportive, because I'm sorry you are having a hard time with this and your chapter sisters, but with recruitment coming around, maybe now isn't the time to discuss how your chapter isn't there for you. If this is genuinely a problem at your PHI MU chapter, then it should be addressed with sisters you feel comfortable with, but I have a problem with one of your first posts on here being about how your sisters aren't there for you and talking about other lesbians in our Fraternity. Now yes, there are women of various sexual preferences in every chapter, but to post something like this is uncalled for. Feel free to PM me with any opinions about this, but I don't think this post was in very good taste to promote our Fraternity, not based on sexual preference but on how nobody is there for you. Not the Phi Mu I know...
