Crafts and Convention
Yummie! I just got my convention mailing today, and I get to make crafty stuff!!! My nickname in my chapter is Martha, cause I love making stuff in as many different ways as possible. I'm almost done with my project, just have to glue/sew it all together. Not sure what to expect with the whole shin-dig once I get there, but oh my goodness, I'M GOING TO CONVENTION!!!!
Sorry - getting pretty excited to go and see how much more there is to Delta Zeta than just my chapter!

Hi Star Turtle,
Out of curiosity, what, other than dog ears do you get to make? I am dreading making my ears. LOL.
Tracy (who will be there too!)

that's all
Just the Hound Ears...
I had never heard of this 'tradition' so I didn't know whether or not I could discuss the specifics of it.
I did however get my scrapbook all caught up, and plan on taking it to convention, and as soon as I mail out my treasurer's audit on monday, I'm gonna start on a book/collection of my chapter's chants, cheers, and songs.
I'm a dork, I can't help it - I LOVE MY SORORITY!

I don't really have the time (or the craftiness) to make dog ears for Convention. Am I going to look out of place that night if I don't have them?

hmmm
I'm not sure angie, this is my first convention.
If it helps, I made mine out of foamies (that fun foam in craft stores) covered them in fabric and glued some stars to it. Took maybe an hour to finish it (not counting drying time for the glue)
I just put the stars on them about a half an hour ago, and tied the ribbon to them.
My Ears are FINISHED!
My Scrapbook is FINISHED!
(my songs chants and cheers book isn't started)

Hi Angie,
This is my first convention, but from what I've heard from other sisters, you'll definitely want to make some ears. I think pretty much everyone has them that night. Is there anyone nearby who could help you make some?

I got my ear material and ribbon over the weekend. It's American flags and red, white and blue ribbon Now all I have to do is find a headband!! WOOF!

Angie,
The pattern itself is easily replaceable - just go to your paintbrush program, and draw an oval just bigger than your hand. then print it out and make sure that the ears will hang where you want them too.
Hope that helps!
