Convention! :)

I just bought my plane ticket, now I just need to register!

Who all is going? And, to steal a topic from Wren, what exactly falls under the dress code? I was told by a National officer that we're not going to be required to wear nylons during the week, but that's the only thing I'm sure of. Since it'll be burning up I plan on bringing very few pants. What do ya'll plan on bringing along?

Since it is going to be in Arizona, I plan on bringing the lightest clothes I can. I'm also going to try to do garter belts with thigh-highs, because I really hate pantyhose.

p.s.- This is my 100th post!

I went to Convention two years ago for the 125th anniversary (which was held in Marco Island Florida and was the best time of my life!!), but you've gotta wear hose for the initiation ceremony. They were pretty strict about that from what I remember. The other times we were in regular clothes. Bring some cute going-out clothes, too. Have fun, wish I was going!!

Well Convention is in a week! The weather here is around 112 degrees- so remember to drink lots of water!!!!! A reminder to everyone- Scottsdale has alot of ultra suave clubs and lounges- so bring cute clothes to hit the town in style! If you want to know what clubs or bars are fun or what kind of place that you would prefer- just ask me. Luckily, the hotel isn't too far away from all of it.
A quick list of my favorites:
Axis/Radius (club)- best for Friday nights*
6 (lounge)*
O
Suede (lounge)- right near Axis*
Martini Ranch- Shaker Room*
** * all within walking distance.

better yet: check out www.944.biz which gives the latest on all night-spot happenings in the Valley!

SigKapAZ is right ladies - it's glamour central in Scottsdale, home to all of the best clubs and tons of hotties who will buy you drinks - but I'm pretty sure all the clubs she mentioned are 21+ (if I remember correctly).
SigKapQueen - don't worry about the dress! It will be fine. I've seen the 'whites' (creams, beige, etc.) that some of our older alums have worn. Their not going to kick you out, I'm sure of it! Breathe easy and just enjoy the fact that you are going to be in a huge initiation with so many Sigma Kappas
I hope everyone going to convention has a terriffic time! Especially you SigKapAZ I hope you have fun with all of our amazing Sigma Kappa sisters from all over! I might sneak down, if I can - you know I've never been afraid of 10 hour drive in the middle of the night!

21+

Coleenie is right- Most of our hot spots in AZ are 21+. But to experience the style, you can always check out one of the 'seen & be seen' restaurants which are great places to hang out- Houston's**, Kona Grill, Ruth Chris, O (formally called Opium), Jax Thai Bar (tempe- on Mill Ave. near ASU), I forget what else was on the list closest to the hotel...
