I am sooo stressed out!!!! I am running a campaign for state representative nearby and I love it soooo much! It's exactly what I want to do as a career and it's awesome and is going to look awesome on my resume. Sounds perfect right? It absolutely was until last week. I was told I would get paid $10/hr and get paid weekly. So I pulled together my hours which totaled 61.5 (for 2 weeks) and gave them to the candidate so she could pay me. Well she told me she wanted me to make them a little more specific and stuff which was fine so I just did that and gave them back. Then, I met with her on thursday and asked for the $ b/c I have bills that are due. She then said that she didn't have the $ to pay me and instead of paying me 10/hr and paying me weekly that she was going to pay me once at our primary (August 6th) and once at the General election in Nov!!!!!!! This is totally frustrating me and ticking me off b/c I worked my butt off and relied on that money to pay my bills for the summer, then I have another part time job that was going to be for fun money. Now I need to find ANOTHER job so that I can pay rent and crap like that. I am SOOOOO TICKED OFF!!!! I work so hard for this woman and this campaign and I feel like I just got totally pooed on!!!! Not to mention that when I try to tell her things to do with her campaign, she is like "yeah that's a good idea" and then doesn't do anything about them. I can't just do stuff myself b/c she still has a lot of control of the campaign from before when she was doing it all herself, which is fine, but then why did you hire me when you weren't going to listen to me???????? Not to mention that I have NEVER met someone so disorganized in my life!!! I will be looking in one folder for something about volunteers and like I'll find stuff that should be in the financial files, which you CAN'T be disorganized with b/c one mistake w/campaign finances and you can get in serious trouble!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHH
I am SOOOOOO frustrated!!!! Tomorrow I am going to talk to the field director for the campaigns in our area (a field director is in charge of making sure the campaigns are running smooth for the party.) and see what h has to say about what I should do. I also am going to talk to her about all of it and tell her that either things go back to the way they were or I am just going to have to make her a low priority for the sake of my wallet and sanity! I just really needed to vent! Thanks for listening guys!!!
