what kind of rush do you have?
we have informal and we've found that women love to color and finger paint, so we did that during MTV music awards or maybe it was the olympics anyhow. we put plastic on the floor and let everyone go at it. we had a clothes line that we let them dry on. we told the rushees that they could stop back when they were dry. that allowed them to come back and talk to sisters one on one.

we also got women to do sig chi derby days w/us. but it isn't a drinking thing here. so...
bowling! was also great. expensive on our budget but it was great!
good luck!

We used to get a whole lot of rushees by having theme nights...
"Woodstock Night" was a big one. We wore tye-die, made candles in our kitchen (which was a little messy, but pretty funny), and made bead necklaces, listened to hippie music.

We turned our house into a coffee house kind of setting one night with candles and pillows, etc. and had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate and did a poetry reading.

Another time we had sisters with cars all meet up and we went sledding with the rushees and then had hot chocolate.

We also had a really successfuly "Spiriual Night", where we did fortune telling, tarot cards, tea leaf reading, etc. Of course, it was all in fun, but in got a huge crowd.

We always tried to do a variety of rush events that would attract a bunch of different kinds of women....

And most of the time, we ended up pledging women who all had really different personalities, but all got along well.

Good Luck!
