Question Remember when...

I'm not that old, but growing up music, videos, hip-hop, and things in general were different.
Do you remember when:

-MTV didn't play much Black music
-YO!MTV Raps was the s---
-YO!MTV Raps was on every afternoon with Dr. Dre and Ed Lover and on Saturday with Fab 5 Freddy
- THE ED LOVER DANCE!!!!!
- Rap City with Chris Thomas, Da Mayor
-Videos were cheap to make, but dope nonetheless
-Booty shakin' was only in 2 Live Crew videos
-Taping videos to learn dance moves
-KDAY (for people from Cali)
-Rap wasn't on the radio or on TRL
-Hip-hop wasn't everywhere
-"Urban" wasn't a look
-High top fades
-Troop (the shoes and the group)
-Guy was popular (did they say dumb b---- on Piece of my love)
-Airbrushed clothing
-House parties
-House Party
-Oak Tree (the store and the Morris Day song)

There's more...but what do you remember/miss?

Peace.

I remember 1580 KDAY, and I also remember 1230 KGFJ. I'm close to 40 years of age, so I recall a lot of what you've brought up.

Yes, and I thought I was the only one that thought that. I just heard the song on the radio this morning, and I always laugh when they get to that part. I still can't believe they put that in the song.

I remember these sister soror, they were hard, though but the chocolate ones were my favorite. Those were the days when Nabisco box pictures were vertical on one side and horizontal on the other.
