Spain....HELP!
I am going to study in Spain for a semester and haven't been able to decide where I would like to study. I was thinking Madrid, Seville or Valencia. Has anyone ever been to Spain? Any suggestions about where I should study or if I should consider any other cities? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Spain is amazing! Madrid is nice, but it's where most people go. I suggest Barcelona (if the lisp doesn't drive you crazy ). Places like Burgos, San Sebastian, and Toledo are wonderful too, but I don't know whether or not you're limited to main cities.

If you can get to Granada that's where I'd study. Skiing is very close! They also have a lot of American Students there so you won't get as homesick. From the choices you listed, Seville is where I'd go.

I've heard nothing but good things about Barcelona. The kids who go to Madrid and Seville often do Barcelona on the weekends. It all depends, of course, what you're going to study and how much travel you think you're going to do (hint: You always do LESS travel than you think you're going to!)

Hello,
Good luck on your decision! Study abroad can be the best semester/year of your life. I spent a week in Barcelona and I loved it. It's a gorgeous city. The only problem is that they speak Catalan Spanish instead of Castillion (spelling?) Spanish so if you are going there to study the language, don't go to Barcelona. I have some friends who studied in Madrid and they loved it. PM me if you want more info on study abroad in general.
