Sig Tau's on Food TV
Did anyone else catch the Sig Taus from Indiana University on Food TV's Food Fantasy last night. They wanted to impress some ladies, so the show taught them how to cook a nice meal and did the whole ettiquete thing, even taught them how to waltz.
Pretty good publicity for the greek system, 30 minutes of fraternity members, (in letters) acting as gentlemen and you got to see them as just guys, not the animals were made out to be. prolly the most representative picture of greeks I have seen in some time. Of course, there has to be a drawback, the narrator chick kept calling them , "the frat guys," in an effort to be cute and folksy. I found it annoying.
Overall it was 95% positive. Good stuff!

Food TV must like the Greek system because there was another show with Gordon Eliott last fall at Rutgers where they went to the Zeta house and a fraternity house to have two different chefs cook with whatever was in the house.

I think there might be a mix up. First, are the Sig Tau's with IFC? I ask because I go to Indiana University and have never heard for a Sig Tau chapter here. So, I was wondering if it was maybe a smaller chapter or something. If they are with IFC, I'm thinking they might be from Indiana State University.
Just wondering! Thanks!

There's a difference?
lol...
just kidding.
I caught it at 2 am and was fighting to stay awake to see it all. I heard Indiana and University. There could have been a state in there. Hell, it could have been Ball State University in Indiana, and thats all I caught. There are Sig Taus in Indiana, right? Dont tell me I was that sleepy.

There aren't any Sig Tau's at IU, but I am pretty positive that there are some at ISU. My friend from high school is a Gamma Phi Beta there and I was looking at her pictures and remember her saying, "He's a Sig Tau...He is one too."
So, I am pretty sure that they are at ISU. However, it is quite possible that there is a chapter at Rose-Hulman. Since these schools are like right next to each other, I know my friend goes over there pretty frequently.
I know that was not a definite answer, but I hoped that helped!

Because it's in Indiana, PA. There is also a California, PA with a college there named California U of PA. The president of Cal proposed changing the name to Eberly U (after someone who gave beaucoup bucks) and to say that the students, faculty and townspeople had a cow would be a severe understatement.

you are so right when you say its great to see men acting like gentlemen, and it is not an act at all. I can tell you from personal experience that the sig tau guys at my school are a perfect example of this. they are kind, caring, and respectful to women.
HUGE kudos the gentlemen of Sigma Tau Gamma.
