dang! one of the sorors that i am great friends with bought it on thursday! if it is that tight, i'm going to have to take a listen to it! how similar is it to her mtv unplugged performance?? i personally liked that performance, showed how much she has evolved! i know a couple of folks didn't like it because they felt the songs sounded "all alike"...folks just don't appreciate good music!

People have been doing some serious hating on her with this album. I bought it on Friday along with Musiq and I love it. She doesn't have the studio sound that we have come to know from her, but her songs are definitely from the heart and I am feeling her pain. She is an artist, a poet, a writer. You have to give to Miss Hill...I am impressed. In a society full of people trying to do the status quo, she has stepped out and done her own thing and spoken the truth from her heart and I am happy to see how much she has progressed...you can feel it in her music.

I got this album for my mom on Mother's Day and she loved it. I like the song "Just Like Water."

I also got the Musiq CD from WalMart (since it was $10) and that CD is good as well.

I hope peeps don't sleep on these two.

"I'll Get Out" #4, on disc 2 is off the hook. I've heard people hate on the cd as well. I guess some folks don't appreciate real music.

I absolutely luv Ms. Hills Unplugged. My favorite track is "I Get Out." I think in order to really appreciate her songs you have to be where she is or near it. A lot of my co-workers said she was "too deep." They said the same thing about Mary Js latest CD. But I luv Mary's and Lauryn latest work. I'm at a place where I'm tired of every type of drama and I'm on a quest for TRUTH, not mine or the next persons truth but THE TRUTH- that of The Creator. So I give five stars to Ms. Hills Unplugged.
