Saw DMB tonight

Hey everyone

Just saw DMB at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It was DMB show # 2 for me and damn, did it kick ass! they finished with a long jam on Two Step, which is one of my favorites. Go dave!

I saw them at Staples too! Was a great show. The Stone, Ants, Two Step-- OMG!!!! Am going to the Irvine show tonight also. #3 of 3 shows this week for me!

I am so jealous - they're not coming to my area until AUGUST! that's okay - i've already got tickets (won them off of the radio!)

anyway - i got my dave fix tuesday - they were on leno, and today my local station (a different one than i won tix from) had a rate-the record on 'where are you going' and played it like a million times - yummie - I LOVE DAVE!

Browneyedgirl, I love your signature. I can't WAIT to hear Grace is Gone studio cut. I can't imagine how it will be different than the Lillywhites (which I was able to get when they were available on the net last year).

I can't believe we have to wait until July for the new cd!

As amycat has heard me whine about, I couldn't scrounge up the money for the show when dmb came through Toronto. I had to miss the show last summer because my brother's wedding was the same day. My parents wouldn't go for the idea of skipping the wedding .
Maybe next year.....
One day, I swear, I WILL see Two Step live.

The Show in IRVINE tonight was great! Energy was AMAZING, everyone singing and dancing their butts off... my feet are so sore!!!!

Highlights:
Crush
Pig
Watchtower
and just after I screamed out from my 15th or so row seat for Billies--TRIPPING BILLIES -- I am betting Boyd had something to do w this being on the setlist, since it is his birthday!

Crush was simply AMAZING! My God, I could hear the version they played tonight over and over!!

PIG-- saw it at the 4/4 opener in DC, but this version was SO MUCH BETTER it has catapulted itself into my top 10 DMB favs list.

Watchtower--the BEST Watchtower I've ever heard. WOW.

Billies-- BOYD'S GRIN said it all!

DOWNERS-
GETTING INTO THE VENUE from both the 405 freeway and from a HORRIBLE line that snaked around the parking lot-- What was up with that???? Their Event staff was clearly not prepared for DMB fans. We almost got crushed in the press for the front.

And FIVE everydays??? I love Everyday/36 live and am proud to have been there for the Vegas Hani Hani incident, and I love If I had it all live, but....well, I NEVER leave my seat once a show has started and I chose to take a buy t shirt and use restroom break during Space Between, I just could not bear to hear it again and have it bring my mood down by how annoyed I get by this song.

My date cancelling on me at 445pm!!!! Crisis at work, which was totally understandable, but, we were already 15 minutes PAST the appointed leave time. But that lead to another HIGHLIGHT of the NIGHT--

I took a DMB newbie (who promtly went home and joined the fan club, lol) and could simply not have had MORE fun. Not even if I had gotten to be all sappy and kissy face during the dreaded Space Between! lol

All in all I enjoyed the set list in SD and LA more, but the energy of this show was so great!!!!! And the 4 highlight songs for me, well, had that been ALL they played, I'd have been happy!

Alas no more DMB shows for me this year--unless, cancelled date feels so bad he gets us Shoreline tix! lol Hey! A girl can dream, can't she?

WOW sounds like an amazing show

Crush is my favorite Dave song by far, i wish they'd played it in LA but im not complaining as it was a great show. I never see more enthusiastic crowds than at DMB shows. Its funny that way, i listen to mostly punk rock and then DMB. But they are an amazing band.
