Alpha Xi Delta?

I was wondering how many Sigma Nu chapters are aware that they are our unofficial "brother fraternity" because Sigma Nu helped to found Alpha Xi Delta at Lombard College in 1893. If a Sigma Nu and an Alpha Xi get married they put pictures of them together in their jerseys in our semi-annual magazine. Also there is an entire page in our new member book dedicated to Sigma Nu. But I talked to a guy one time from Sigma Nu that was like I dont know what you are talking about.

My chapter knew about the bond. It was covered during pledge-ship, and I think there was even a question on one of the tests.

Sorry I was just curious if the Sigma Nus were made AWARE of the UNOFFICIAL (as I stated in my OP) bond. Not whether or not there was one or whatever. And maybe if anyone knows of any schools where this bond might actually be considered special or something. I dont care about if its official

When we received our charter, our AXiD chapter gave us a very nice gift which was an excerpt and a photograph out of their NM manual recanting the history between our organizations. The relationship is recognized, but of course, it's nothing official.

This is something pretty much universally recognized as far as I know.

Thats very neat. I was mostly curious about schools, like yours, that had both on campus. I go to a school with a really small greek system and there is no Sigma Nu chapter on our campus. The other two nearby schools have Sigma Nu chapters but not Alpha Xi chapters. So I havent really encountered anything other than the information in the book we were given and the article they put in our magazine with the pictures of couples. So in my experience, the relationship has only been a 115 year old historical one.

There was actually a pretty decent article in our magazine either in the most recent issue or the next most recent issue concerning AXiD.

You'll have to hit the table of contents, but it's in there, an article by Ruth Goldman, editor of the Quill:
