That Time of Year

Well Brothers, it is that time of year where we lose associates and trade them in for fully active brothers. Is anyone else approaching this time other than us? I have my hands full.

Less than 48 hours away from the colony I work with to put on their first ritual without another chapter doing it for them!

A LOT of work and practice over those 48 hours, but I am confident they will do a good job.

Haven't seen the ritual in 2 years...too long, even for a 35 year old codger like myself....

Youre only 35? You talk like your 65. I swear thats how old I thought you were. Well maybe at least I thought you were 45. YOURE NOT OLD!

Mad Shakey Props on helping out the guys. Throughly rewarding experience I can imagine....

It has been fun - late at night, so the wife and kids don't miss me (they're fast asleep well before practice)...but I'm feeling my age...all nighters are not as easy as they used to be. Just one more practice night, and the last chance to get a couple of slackers "in gear" before they get replaced by some very motivated alumni/brothers....we'll see.

Unhappy

Shawn, know about that all night thing! Spent 3 days and two nites up at my last one!
Hell pulled off the road to take a nap on the drive back home! Either that or drive off the road asleep!!!!

Woke up and thought I had gone blind!!!!! Hell had to get out and clean snow off of the car!

ACK ACK what kind of snide comment was that on the other post!!!!!!!!!!

Shawn, glad you took care of the movie deal, I did not see it or would have deleted it! I dont know, I thought about giving them a call!

But they want young flat belly Brothers not Old Farts! 35? I agree you sound more like 55!!!!!!!!

Hey - quick update...even though they were newbies at this, they pulled it together and did a FANTASTIC job, with brothers from another nearby chapter helping out as well. All in all it went far better than I expected, and was very proud of them all!

Brothers/alumni from 4 different chapters witnessed. That was very nice to see.

Congrats

Hey guys,

Just wanted to say congrats to your new members on initiation. (And yourselves for pulling off great rituals, I'm sure.) My bother is a Lambda Chi and he tells me that his initiation holds some great memories for him. Great job guys!

Tom,
His name is Philip and was a brother from St. Mary's in San Antonio, he transfered to UTSA and met up with the guys there. He left school to join the Marines and has been doing really well. Next time he has leave, I'll send him to Greek Chat.

Lynette
