A Little Prayer
Normally , I wouldnt do this but I feel my family could really use it at the moment.
On Friday, my mother and I found out that my aunt (married to my mom's brother) suffered a stroke. We went to go visit in her and everyone today and needless to say she isn't doing well at all. We found out that she had a massive stroke that damaged the left and right sides of her brain. She is paralyzed on her right side and is currently in a coma. Pretty much in a vegatative state (however she has made a lil progress). Obviously my uncle is completey distraught along with their 3(adult) kids. The doctors say that if she does come out of it that she wont remember who she is or anyone else, and wont be able to talk and possibly need 24/7 care. She wil not be the same. This is just kind of a weird experince for me because on my moms side of the family (I dont know my dad's side) no one has died out of 2 going on 80 year old grandparents, her 11 brothers and sisters and around 25+ grandchildren and greatgrand. Nothing even major has happened to anyone.
So getting away from my rambling, I was just wondering if anyone could please take 2 secs to say a lil prayer or thought. Thanks!
LiEP,
Tonya

Thanks you guys. Its just really weird b/c the closest person to me that has died so far in my life was my junior year AP American History teacher. She had a battle with breast cancer when I was in middle school, and they said she went into remission and it was all gone. 4 years later it was back and killed her (which is why I try to help out with the cause). Her death completey devasted the junior/senior classes along with staff cuz everyone loved her. She called all her students her "little chickadees" and would go over a paper with you that she wanted re-done, but what write it for you. You had to love her.
Anywho it was just weird yesterday cuz we were told to talk to her in her coma and I just couldnt. I didnt know what to stay and they said not to cry and I knew I would (which I dont cry) cuz I started to tear up and I was just afriad to touch her for fear Id set something off. So I just sat there in bewilderment kind of and I guess everyone understood cuz no one yelled at me. If I do get any updates I will post. Thanks again.

I have the feeling that even if you can't talk, she knows you're there and she feels your love. That's the most important thing.
Keep your chin up, sweetie. We're praying.

Update...
Things arent looking any bettre for my aunt. We got another call on Monday saying that she took a turn for the worst because he brain activity went to 50% and her brain had swollen even more over the weekend. My grandfather told my mother that the doctors stop giving her medicine and that there was pretty much nothing they could do anymore. She is breathing with a respirator, so they are just waiting for her heart to give out to take her off of it. My uncle and aunt's sister have already signed the papers. But no one is giving up, especially after we heard that the swelling did go done on Monday though.

Thank You All
I would just like to say thank you again to all of you for your thoughts and prayers.
I am sad to report that today my mother called me at work to tell me that my Aunt died on Tuesday at 1pm. My uncle and her sister decided to take her of the respirator and after the doctors gave her morphine to see if that would start her heart on its own and she just expired.
Once again thank you.

Tonya

Tonya,
I am so very sorry for your terrible loss. I know that it is of little comfort at the moment, but she is now in a place where she is no longer suffering.
I pray for her soul, and that God will send down comfort on you and yours.
PM me if you need to talk, or if there is anything I can do to help.
LIEP,
Maria
