Chapter traditions?
What are some of your best chapter traditions? Here's a few of mine...
-SigEp Bowl. Every year, the day before the Super Bowl, we play an intrafraternity game. We divide up North/South, East/West, Freshman Spohomore/Junior Senior - however the Chaplain decides. Then it's all out football, and we're all sore while we sit around and watch the game the next day.
-Brother of the Month. Every month, we pick one guy who has gone above and beyond his call of duty and done something great for the chapter and announce it at the meeting. Again, the Chaplain picks this one.
-Coin drive. Each November, we raise money for a local elementary school by knocking on campus doors and asking for change. This year, we raised $1300. We take the cash and fulfill holiday wish lists for the kids.
-End of the semester dinner. Every semester, on the last night of classes, we all go to a restaurant and get an all-you-can-eat deal. During the Spring semester, seniors give their last will and testaments, which are usually pretty funny.
Hope this gets some ideas flowing.
