AAAAAHHHH! So I get this wierd email yesterday and I delete it but apparently that was not enough action taken because now my computer has a virus. The premise of this virus is apparently that my computer takes all of my files and then sends them to major universities and greek organizations across America. So I'm getting all these emails back to me from (for example) Chi Omega, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, U of Georgia, NYU, etc. I even got one back from the freaking Army recruitment office! All these emails are telling me that I emailed them a virus, and also telling me that (suprisingly) they don't want my "firstquarterbiblicalnarrativesessay" or my "NBOconstitution" files. I don't know what to do! I have never even emailed the majority of these people! I tried running Mcafee virus scan and Norton and they both say I don't have a virus but OBVIOUSLY I do. It's really rather amusing in a depressing sort of way for me. If anyone has any idea what I can do to not be infecting large organizations across the country, please let me know! And DO NOT open any email from CCornish@cats.ucsc.edu!!! Thanks.
love, Corina
Try updating your virus definitions - you can get updates from the McAfee and Norton websites.
You might want to give a heads up to the sororities that will be meeting with NBO - just to warn them that if they get anything from you, it's a virus, not you spamming them
