Summer Plans??
Hello Ladies-
I know you're probably all busy finishing up your semesters, getting those papers and projects done, and studying for the last of your exams... Or you're procrastinating like me. The semester is almost over though, and I was wondering what exciting plans everyone has for the summer. Internships? Traveling? A cool job?? Please share.

I don't know that my plans are all that exciting, but I'm starting in a position with the US Department of Agriculture as an Engineering Aide on May 13. I plan to attend the ASAE (The Society for Engineering in Agricultural, Food, and Biological Systems) National Convention in Chicago in July. Depending on if I can get off of work I may go to my family reunion in Lake of the Ozarks Missouri over the fourth of July.
Other than that I just plan to have a lot of fun with our sisters who are staying in Fort Collins this summer! (And Maybe a Roadtrip or Two)

I will be returning to Ankeny, IA to complete another session as a co-op student with John Deere Des Moines Works, in their Test Engineering department. I will also be attending the ASAE international congress in Chicago! The Upsilon Chapter is planning a summer retreat in Western Minnesota as well!

Erin-
I probably won't be at the ADSA meetings this year I'll have cows calving in Madison.
Just a quick note, if any sisters are in the Madison, WI area this summer or plan on coming to the World Dairy Expo in October, let me know. I'd love to show you around this fun city.

I'm going to east Asia (Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and Beijing) on a school trip in a few days. Never been to that part of the world before and still can't believe I'm going!
When I get back, will be working as an intern at Deere all summer, until I help w/our first-year (incoming class) orientation week in August.
In between, I hope to spend some weekends traveling around the eastern seaboard!

Beth that sounds so exciting!!!! Have a great trip!!!!
As far as my summer plans go...they're still in limbo. I was offered an internship with the McIlhenny Company (the company that makes Tabasco sauce) earlier this semester but I'm still waiting on the details. If that happens to fall through...I'll be here in Baton Rouge for summer school. Other than that...I'll be moving into my first apartment (3 years in the dorms is LONG ENOUGH) and I'll hopefully be getting some money together so I can attend National Convention in the fall!!!!!
Good Luck on Finals Everyone!!!!

This summer ...
I'll be continuing work w/ the feed mill, working on building the agri-marketing business, dealing w/ the "fun parts" of pregnancy and trying to keep busy while my husband is busy at USN OCS!
Good luck to everyone still in school on their finals!

All of you sound like you have very exciting adventures! My summer includes going back home to do road construction, as well as an internship with our local Ag society. I will be taking over as the secretary for the fairboard.
I also plan on road trips to see my sisters back in Lansing (I love my Gamma girls!) as well as attending a sisters wedding in July.
