Question Living in Chapter House?

Hey all,

I'm curious how many chapters are currently housed. Is living in the house actually required at any point during membership? I"ve heard that there are some ups and downs to living in a chapter house. What do ya think?

The Sigma chapter here at Iowa lives in our own house. We require you to move in your second year as a member and stay until you graduate. Some girls, like myself, moved in our first year. This fall will start my fourth year living in and I love it. I wouldn't live anywhere else.
There are ways of living out if you need to but only two girls are doing that next year.

At the UW we live in the house, but we do have live out and "townie" options. Most people, except sometimes seniors or COB girls finishing a lease, live in the house or our "annex" (another house right next door). It's a lot of fun to have people to study with or hang out with, and since the UW has a big Greek system, there's always something fun to do.
