What would you never give up?
Ok, sometimes you trade things with your sisters/brothers, pass down things to your littles, or possibly sell things when you go alum...but now is the time to be greedy. What would you absolutely keep for yourself and never give up?
My List:
* My 1st set of letters and family letters
* My AGD tote bag (a gift from my lil sis...I will carry it forever!)
* this glass candy jar my big painted for me
* my large squirrel stuffed animal (it's so hard to find cute squirrel stuff!!!)

My t-shirts and all my "junk" (picture frames, cups, stuffed turtles, etc.). OK, so I'm selfish, but that stuff has a lot of memories attached to it and I don't think I could bring myself to give it away. Instead of passing down one of my letter shirts to my little, I just made her a new one.

My badge.
We do pass them to our littles, but only until they get their own. I bought my little an identical badge so she too can pass her pretty badge on.

I'm pretty much atached to all of my letters. But the rush shirts, even though I helped design the one I have, will be passed on. Probably my instalation shirt too. not to mention my bright orange shirt with pink jesus fish on it I got from midyear. I wear that to meetings sometimes, but thats about it. It would be good for foam parties.

You know, I used to think "I'm keeping all of this stuff!". But, when I graduated, I kept 4 things...obviously, my badge, as i upgraded it; my first set of letters that I bought for myself; my lavaliers which my bigs got me; and my paddle which my little made me. The rest of it went to my little and little little. They are still passing that stuff on, and I think it's great Oh wait, I lied...I still have my pin box from my big too!

My 2 Badges and a pledge button stay with Me until my death as put in ,my will!
The Chapter gets my Local Badge and pledge pin that I designed ( Oh and a TKN Badge, they merged with us in 1939), and My Active Badge to be passed on to the Current President and the Presidents following each one! If they lose it, I will haunt them for ever as It Has To Be Special Ordered!

my plan
I graduate next may (03) and i know it's gonna be rough to leave, so i'm already thinking about this subject.
1. I'll keep my badge ~ without a doubt, i wear it whenever i have badge attire on, really. I love it, and think that i never get the chance to wear it enough. I am one of the few members in my chapter to have my guard, and all my dangles up-to-date. =) i love my badge!
2. all the printed shirts while i was active in the chapter. rush shirts, formal shirts, homecoming shirts, etc. i'm going to make a quilt out of them someday.
3. my scrapbook. this is something that is very near and dear to me, and it shows with the amount of work i put into it.
4. my paddles - i have 2 because i have 2 lil sis's. they hang on my wall next to my certificate of membership and several of my pictures. they mean so much that each of the girls would put that time into them.
5. a couple of the turtles/stuff with letters that is very dear to me, ex, a senior passed it down to me with a special story, or someone unexpected got it for me.
What I'll give away in my senior farewells:
~most of my sewn-on letters/printed shirts that were passed down to me, or swapped with another chapter. I'm sure that all the new members that semester will get a set of sewn-on letters, and the girls in my family tree will get some extra as well. i'll keep some, but i know that i'll want to pass them down too. (i'm known as "the letters girl" cause i have so many - i'm up to like 25 i think)
~most of my turtles. I'll always keep the certain ones that i have mentioned above, but i'll never have enough room to keep them all... that makes me sad.
okay - this is making me sad - i'm done for now

I kept pretty much everything. I did have a little but she deaffiliated. I wasn't that close to the younger members of my chapter. If I had been, I probably would have passed down some of my rush T-shirts and some letters, but I definitely would have kept:
- my badge, new member pin, and my local sorority's badge and pledge ring
- my first set of letters
- the favors from all our formals and semiformals
- my two favorite shirts: a bid day shirt with an American Express card on the front (reading "Alpha Epsilon Phi") and "Membership Has Its Privileges" across the back; and the T-shirt from our first fundraiser, Night at the Improv... the shirt is black, and I wear a lot of black, so...
- the AEPhi cross stitch that I made - I made two and gave one to my big from my local

i went alum last may, and i gave away almost everything(party favors, shirts, other stuff..) but the things i could never bare to part with were :
my badge(obviously)
my crestboard(a chapter tradition)
my first crest sweatshirt
a really cute long sleeved shirt
another sweatshirt and a few random tshirts
my stuffed precious moments & beanie baby owls
my copy of the symphony
my scrapbook
but i got rid of everything else, my bid day shirt, big sis candle etc.

For the record, I thought my badge was a given so I didn't list it.
