Attention: President and Step Team Leader
Dear Sir or Madam:
SUBJECT: STEP-FOR-LIFE
On behalf of the Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi and the Epsilon Xi Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, we cordially invite your chapter to participate in the first annual Step-for-Life step show on April 19, 2002.
The show will be held at the Troy State University band practice field (upper intramural field) from 7:30 p.m. until.
Teams participating must keep their shows to a twelve-minute maximum (including entering and exiting the stage). Music must be radio-edited and routines must be in good taste. We are asking participating teams to make a donation to Step-for-Life in lieu of a registration fee.
This first annual Step-for-Life is a fundraiser benefiting the Marrow Foundation and in this first year, the family of the late Steven Dobarzynski, a member of Kappa Kappa Psi. “Dobar” as Steven was affectionately called, was a recovering bone marrow transplant recipient until Monday, March 25, 2002, when we lost him due to health complications. Dobar beat the leukemia, but the complications involved in his recovery were too much. Few bone marrow recipients have survived the many and often-recurring complications Dobar had to endure. His spirit is an inspiration to us all, and we are proud to call him Brother.
If your chapter would like to participate in the Step-for-Life step
show, please email the following information by April 12th to Heather E Yates at
sedtrea@tbsigma.org.
1. Name of Team (organization, chapter name, and nickname if
applicable)
2. Number of people that will be stepping
3. Contact person (name, address, telephone, email, etc.)
4. Length of show
Again, we ask that a donation be made by the team instead of a
registration fee. This is payable upon arriving at the show. If your chapter will not be stepping, but would still like to make a
donation, checks should be made payable to “Step-for-Life,” and mailed to
Tau Beta Sigma
