Young Man,
I applaud your efforts to learn more about the most distinguished men of Alpha. At this particular point my only suggestion is that you read our history book. It is available in many public libraries. If you have
difficulty locating the history book contact your local graduate chapter.
I wish you much success in your future endeavors!

The biggest thing you can do when you first get to college to prepare yourself is to get a high GPA. Worry about that first and everything else (with some work) will fall in place.

All BGLO's stress high academics, yet, your GPA requirement is 2.3-2.5 that isn't high. If you ask me a college student with a 2.5 is not a good student. Especially if the student is in social sciences (frown). If you guys want to stress academic excellence maybe you should raise you GPA.

Hope, I just have to say; No one asked you. Okay, so that was somewhat rude, but you haven't quite been polite or thoughtful this evening either. It is well know, and well posted, that a 2.5 G.P.A., the bare minimum, is likely to work against you if you are pursuing a BGLO. Just like doing a minimum amount of community service is not going to look good either. Besides, you won't ever know what other issues that person is dealing with besides school, which could be reflected in their G.P.A. And I imagine, though not positive as I am not a member of any organization, that all of the many requisites are examined as a whole when candidates are being considered. If I have misspoken someone will correct me in due course, I am sure. If you have better than that, well done, you are to be commended, but please do not presume to judge the situations of others before you have walked in their shoes. Have a nice day.

Your post has a lot of attitude, are you one of those people I am talking about? I am glad you tried to be rude, all you did was give me an avenue to insult you. But I'll refrain from doing that, I'm much to intellect to stoop that low. Yes you are correct I do have better than that (smiling) college is a job, and I do my job well. As for other things playing apart in someones GPA you are correct again, but that means that person should not be worried about joining a BGLO! I am not worried about white greek orgs. I could care less about them. I am interested in what we are doing as Black college students. We do not need average people leading us back into cotton fields. I don't know what your major is or if you even go to college, but mines is applied mathematics, and believe me I have studied my a** off to earn my GPA. I have worked my way through school with out family finanical support and school LOANS not GRANTS, so don't tell me about those other things! If you can't study and earn good marks, you shouldn't have the time needed to pledge or join in most peoples cases these days. Peace Little32

Gee and I thought I said what I had to say with very little attitude. Hope, darling, dear, your true colors have shown. I have read your posts on several other boards, so let us not claim to take the high road, when you have already shown yourself to be well acquainted with the low road. Again, I restate (with as little attitude and as much calm as possible, lest you misread this Hope, dear) that you will never fully appreciate each individual set of circumstances. I could not begin to describe all of the different situations that could lead to a 2.5 G.P.A. As far as the rest of what you said, I am not quite sure what you are talking about. But I am well aware that Alpha Phi Alpha, with its 2.5 G.P.A. requirement, is the fraternity of such leaders as Dr. Martin Luther King, (and others, I am sure the members could provide you with quite a list) who did much to lead us from the cotton field as I am sure you will agree. A persons g.p.a. is but one measure of them and sometimes not the best measure. Now, please refrain from responding to this post. It is not necessary. I think that between the two of us, this subject should be closed. And I will say again, have a nice day.

What board are you talking about? And for your low road...please you wish that my understanding is zero like yours. Anyway, don't worry about my post, your try and raise your GPA DEAR. You don't run jack, but your mouth. I made one statement and you ran with it. Who do you think you are? By the way, sense you aren't an Alpha why in the hell are you so upset? They don't need you defending their organization.
(These questions are rhetorical) if you don't know what rhetorical means look it up...You'll find it between r and ryot. Now this thread is closed. I refuse to argue with a babbling idiot.

Hope, learn to spell. If you will reread your posts, I am sure that you will come to understand what I mean. I am not upset, I am merely trying to correct a person who clearly does not know what she is talking about. If the Alphas are upset about me addressing your post, I am sure that they will let me know. You will allow them that, won't you. As far as the other boards that I am speaking of, you and I both know that you have been having a field day on several of these BGLO boards, but I will refrain from naming them and bringing them into this drama. Like I said before this conversation is over. By the by dear, I graduate Summa cum Laude. Have a wonderful evening.
I would like to apologize to the members of this organization for having this conversation take place on your board. I just felt the need to address this girl's ignorance and disrespect (my mistake) and unfortunately the need overwhelmed itself on this page. Please be certain that I have ended this conversation from my end and will ask no questions if you decide to delete this thread. Have a nice evening.

Whoa I guess you think you said something. You really are an idiot you responded LOL. Honor student you don't know what rhetorical means? If you are talking about the Zeta's and the Sigma's read it again trick!!! I posted twice and I defended my post. I don't know what other boards you're thinking about. I was not being rude, you need to let this end and stop jockin. Don't lie about your education, I don't hate fools I tolerate you. Goodbye again, and get off the Alpha's d**ks it's not lady like.
Did you think you were being smart with the learn to spell? Well it's "by the way" you learn how to clown first then try it LOL. See how stupid you make yourself look pointing about petty things like typing errors? LOL you are the JOKE for JULY. Cali luv

Hope and Little 32
Your initial posts had merit. In fact, I plan to start a new chain regarding the 2.5 g.p.a. However, you use the APHIA site to hash your own personal discontentment for my frat's organization that neither of you belong. Seemingly, you have developed some type of personal vendetta against each other. If this is the case, I suggest that you e-mail each other privately and I also encourage you to debate the issue and not demean each other.
