I have never in my life felt so bad about making a mistake. I admitted from jump start that I was wrong and I even made multiple corrections to my posts, but that was not good enough. So out of respect for you all, I have chosen to leave Greek Chat. Thank You to everyone that replied to my post, good or bad it was a learning experience. God Bless, and please continue to unify and make brothers like me proud of you all! Thanks again, and I NEVER meant to disrespect any of you all.

You didn't disrespect me at all. I am a prospect myself, so I can't really take offense to anything you may post in regards to an organization. I do hope you reconsider your decision to leave Greekchat, and in the future you'll be mindful of what you say and who you say it to. I've been on GC a while, and it has been a learning experience. I've had some good experiences, made some friends, but on the flip side there are some who strike me as downright beligerent. You gotta take the good with the bad...don't let this one experience prevent you from learning as much as possible about the org. you want to join.

I wasn't even responding to you...I was saying that 'everything' was over my head because I couldn't see why anyone was getting upset with 'prettygyrl'. You posted your topic and no one really responded. It turned into a 'prettygyrl' thread. So I don't know what you are talking about!

I could care less that you are interested in Alpha Phi Alpha. I pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Why do I care if you want to express your interest on this board? In no way shape, form or fashion will I have anything to do with your process.

If you didn't understand my reply...maybe that's because it wasn't meant for you!

The person that it was meant for was pm'd and we discussed it.

Just because you start a post...all replies are not directed at you (as you should have been able to tell from the replies on that board...)

Sweetie, don't do such a thing. I am a SF as you know and when I first joined people were telling em my mistakes. I mean we disagree on GC but its not to the point where we wanna leave. Oh and you know you didn't offend me because I am not a member of either AKA OR AphiA. Keep in touch young man

. You always have somebody to talk to here. I am only a PM away. Things will be fine. The thread turned into a big misunderstanding and hopefully things are cool now, if not we all know how to act like adults and get over it.

I never felt disrespected. Number one, I'm not a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, so why should I be? Number two, you're not the first person who made a mistake in the way they expressed interest (believe me, I had my finer moments

). My reply was to pretty_girl82.... and not even negativity there. I just wanted her to see why some people were offended by her remark - nothing against either of you. I don't see a real reason for you to leave GC over this, though.

I never felt disrespected by you at all. As I told you last week, your original post told way too much info but you would learn. There are a lot of interests on these forums that I really did not even know whose org they were interested in just because they practiced both discretion and patience.

You really should not leave. If you left or cowered away from something or someone every time they corrected you or showed you a better way, would you even be in college right now?

You told me you are going in to the teaching profession, life is the biggest classroom. GC is a subset of life -- learn from it.

GC should be part of your research, but you really need to get to know members on your campus and participate in functions. Besides, we have some interesting non-Greek topics to participate in.

Let me introduce myself... I am 112. Not the male R&B group but a male interest (or aspirants depending on how you want to look at it) of a particular BGLO fraternity. Like Steeltrap says, we don't have enough MEN around here... especially on this side of the house.

Do trust that I, along with some others have made our share of mistakes. But part of being an interest is learning from those mistakes. I know that when you found out that you wanted to be a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, you were excited and wanted the whole world to know... One of the first lessons I've had to learn, as well as many others is the world will learn of your interest if and when they need to

It is a good thing that you admitted from your mistake and you apologized. But do not think that as an interpretation of meaning that you are not welcomed at GC. You should look at all the BGLO forums as well as the General forums. You will find that we discuss many topics of general interest. Sometimes, discussions may be listed for Members of BGLO's only or Sister Friends (SF's) or Interests (Aspirants) only. But wherever you visit, be sure that you read the rules of that organizations forum and that you respect them.

I hope you reconsider leaving GC. Although I am not a member of a BGLO, I can help you with what I can (though my help is very, very limited and most do not pertain to BGLO matters if you will

) but whatever the case... just PM me.

On that note I hope the moderators and BGLO members don't mind me posting what I've posted.

You made an error and you apologised. You owned up to it. That is hard for a lot of people to do and i give you credit.

Don't sweat it.

Good luck in your quest- I can tell you it's ok all I want to, but as the Alphas are the ones here who can help you (and they were not too happy, lol) you may need all the luck we can wish you.
