National Service Projects
Sorors, how have your respective chapters implemented our national service projects?
Kappa Nu recently had a Wee $avers program at a local middle school in Boston. In a colloboration with Fleet Bank, we taught over 100 6th graders on the value of saving money for future plans.
The kids were so excited to have the sorority come through and to have a break from their regular math class! The free t-shirts were a big hit....and tell me why I learned a lot from the program as well!
We need to have a Big peoples wee savers program too, for all uf us financially challenged folks !!
I am particularly interested to hear about sorors experiences with Mwanimugimu

Sorhor Knowledge1922,
Eta Iota Sigma is currently working on the Mwanimuguimu essay writing contest with middle school students in PG. County. Sorhors from the chapter are judging each essay and we have several place winners for the top three contestants.
Buckle-up American we will complete during the month of April.
We just collected several hundred books for Operationbigbookbag.

Buckle Up, America!
Since the state of Washington will be implementing a seat belt law this summer, we are putting together an information session and car seat giveaway in time for vacation driving season. We are currently contacting local agencies so that as many people as possible will be impacted by the program.
We will also be collecting shoes for the Soles for little Souls, which is a Western Region program for needy children in the region. The shoes will be distributed at the conference in LA.
We are working on a lot of other programs, but these are the latest.

Sorhor TRSimons,
You can probably get some money from the Department of Transportation because it has to do with Bucke-up America which, as you know, is one our (Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.) many national programs.

Thanks Soror Serious Sigma!
Now you know I am getting my DOT grant on, okay?

doesn't believe in CO-OPing (Coming Out Of Pocket) or paying retail, for that matter, for anything.
