Texas Tech students die

My dad was just perusing the obits in the Houston Chronicle and he noticed two young people. It turned out they both died in New Mexico over spring break and both were students at Tech. The girl's obit said she was a KKG. They didn't say the cause of death, but my guess is that it was probably a car accident. I was just wondering if anyone here had heard anything. My heart goes out to their friends and family.

That's so sad. Their families and friends are in my prayers. Everyone who is on Spring Break or about to travel somewhere please be careful to and from your destination.

I read more about it. Apparently there were three students who died and one who is critical. The girl was driving with 2 friends and she was killed instantly and one friend is critical with head injuries and the other was treated and released (which has to be so, so hard for her to deal with...I hope that she gets a lot of support). The two guys were driving in NM and were hit head on by an illegally passing truck and their car burned up. Those were seperate and unrelated accidents but on the same day. What makes me upset is that the girls were not wearing seatbelts. One of my sorority sisters died for that reason last year. I just do not understand what is so hard about just fastening the belt. Please everyone, just wear your seatbelt. It can save your life!

Unhappy Spring Break Deaths

I had not heard about the Kappa, but two Sigma Chi brothers were killed in New Mexico in a car accident. I can't believe how many deaths have happened over the holiday. My heart and prayers go out to the families and brothers and sisters of all those lost.
