Question Successful Fundraising Ideas

Hey Phi Mus! I was wondering what the different chapters did on their campuses to raise money. We're in the process of looking for a new idea. We used to do 24 hour flag football, but over the years it hasn't been as successful. any suggestions?

My chapter used to do a jail~n~bail every year. We also did stuff around holidays, kind of like telegrams, where we would sell suckers or something like that and people could attach notes to them... we delivered them to recipients.
I can't think of any more right now, but if I do, I'll let you know!

Are you looking for a major philanthropy fundraiser? We did a "Grandslam" softball tourney involving all of the fraternities. Please feel free to PM me if you'd like details.

We also did small things as well..car washes, selling Fazzoli's tickets (this was actually a very successful fundraiser used by many organizations), etc. Also, some restaurants have days that you can reserve and then 10% of their profits from that day go to your organization.

Our chapter hosts an annual Oyster Roast every year through the school's parents weekend. We go around to local businesses and see if they could donate services and merchandise. Then we have a silent auction and raffle. It's really fun, we have a band and everything, plus we raised a TON of money for CMN.

Pinkangel--
I read your question about great ideas for fundraisers. I have a great idea that has been both very successful and profitable for the sororities/women's fraternities at East Carolina University. Below is an intro that I have sent to sororities/fraternities that I have helped to raise money and have found it to be very successful. Read below and let me know what you think. I would love to help your fraternity raise money in this way.

Are you tired of washing cars and baking cookies to raise money for your fraternity and favorite charity? Why not purchase a product that every lady gets excited about and get paid to do so? What product you ask? Cosmetics and skin care.

My name is Alyson Roy and I have been an Artistry consultant for Artistry Cosmetics for seven years. Artistry is among the top five prestige cosmetics companies in the world and has been in business for over 30 years! Want to learn how to earn 70% of profits from sales for your fraternity? recently we sold carnations for valentines day, and that went over very well.
We also did jail n bail, but called it phi mu gotcha instead, and we raised a bunch of money-- the money for that went to CMN.
I think our Phi's sold pizzas in the dorms last semester, and that went well too.

**excited for greek week to come**
greek week=mr greek adonis!! yay!
