Speaking of Weddings: TLCs "For Better or For Worse"

Has anyone seen this show?
It airs on TLC Saturdays @10

Do you trust anyone (other than yourself) to TOTALLY plan your wedding? Do you have what it takes to plan your best friend's wedding where she would LOVE it?

I have seen the show and I am CONVINCED that I wouldn't do it! That binch Eppy would make me snatch her bald! I can't understand her. I saw the first episode with the black couple and it was a tragedy in my eyes. I was with Mama when she was dead against the rental gown. Your gown is supposed to be a treasure, not something that you return by Monday. I was also not down with the wedding cookies and the homemade cake. I would have scaled down the venue and the "extras" in favor of having some of the other stuff that I want. I mean, they could have gotten a small hall that catered. A wedding cake doesn't cost more than $200. I would have rathered that the decorations be made instead of the cake. The cake is a big part of the wedding. I could have hooked up some invites on my computer. The list is endless.

I only saw that one episode, but her team was kind of lazy and chilled. I don't know if they were really like that or if they were rebelling against Eppy. Either way, don't act like that for my wedding. I won't have it.

Thumbs down

Yes, I have seen the show & No I would not do this. My wedding is supposed to be my special day and I want it to have all the things I really want. Not just settle. Especially the dress part. They always jack up the dress. The last one was like I don't want a dress w/sleeves. She got a dress with thick 'ol sleeves. lol And she was like, 'it's ok." I don't want my dress to be just ok.

I have watched this show since it has come on and i think the best episode was the girl w/ the pink dress ! The black couple's friends and family really embarrassed me by the way that they were acting. I wouldn't want to do this because it seems that they always skimp on the dress and it ends up being something that the bride does not like, especially the last one. That dress was about 3 sizes too big, and she didn't want a dress w/ straps. I guess if you really wanted to do this then you should make sure that your team knows exactly what you want, like, and dislike. The shpw is very fun to watch just because of the time involved and seeing if people carry there own weight. Does anyone think that the wedding planners are soo funny except me, the angie lady is the best by far, but her ideas are a little !

I thought the one with the pink dress was a tragedy. Who wants a dress other than white or some variance of that? Yes, she's unique, but every girl dreams of a white dress.

They let the wedding planners have too much liberty in deciding what is best for the bride and groom. They forget that they are the ones who know them best.

The Black couple could have really scaled down on the Rooselvelt hotel and just had it at a church and she would have been able to get a cake, ditch the cookies, and keep her dress.

I would never have gone for something like this. The things people do to get on tv!!

The episode with the Black couple was cool but the brides friend, Crystal, needed to gain some control. She was just a liiiiittle too happy to try on bridesmaids dressed and even paid homegirl $50 to catch the bouquet. I feel bad for the next man she meets cuz she's definitely got wedding bells in her eyes.
I loved the episode with the hot pink dress because it was so unique. And the wedding planner was right...if the bridesmaids had worn those hot pink dresses, they would have received more attention than the bride.
The episode that aired this past weekend made me upset because the brides best friend/sorority sister was the main one causing opposition between what the mother wanted for her daughter (dress and decorations), then she wasn't even there to help them go dress shopping. I have to admit though, that I love the idea of making CDs of the couples' favorite love songs as party favors. That's a really good idea.

Do the wedding planners have the final say? Because it seems as if they push what they want until they get it.
NON-Crystal was a hottt mess! She needed to remember that it was not HER wedding! I hope she was embarrassed by the way she acted.
