Hey - I would recommend posting this in Chit Chat
But i too am planning on going to law school - and my number one place - anywhere in DC - the connections you'll make and the job opportunities for experience (ie: law clerk, paralegal, legal secretary) while in law school are amazing. Look into George Washington University - its a great school.

US News and World Reports publishes an annual issue in which they rate the top graduate schools in the country. I think this year's came out a month or two ago but your local library can help you get your hands on a copy.

I'm not sure what kind of grades you have, but if you are interested in the Tier 1 schools, Yale is consistently ranked in the top three and Harvard in the top five. Both, of course, are in New England. As far as Virginia, the best school there in undoubtedly the University of Virginia (in Charlottesville) and Georgetown University which, although not technically in Virginia, is right across the Potomac river from Virginia! Both of these schools are in the top ten as well.

Good luck in your endeavor and keep us posted!

I'm beginning my search for Law Schools
I'm not to take the LSAT for another year
