Sorority/Fraternity Relations

Hey my chapter is working on improving sorority relations, and I figured that this would be a good place to ask for some input. So does anyone have anything that they have either been to, or put on to improve relations with outher GLO's on your campus?
I actually got to go to one last night. Gamma Phi Beta at SDSU hosted a dinner at their house for the executive clouncil from every fraternity. Our Secretary could not go, so I was picked to take his place. It was really cool, the girls served us in togas, feed us grapes, and faned us as we walked in.

That sounds like fun! Every semester we had Greek Games. In the fall we had a one day version. The guys played basketball and the women played volleyball. We finished with an obstacle course. In the spring we had an outdoor Greek Olympics that lasted a week. We had teams 1 NPC, 1 NPHC, and 1 IFC. We got points for spirit by the entire team getting together and having dinner in different places on campus. The sororities held a tea and invited all of the sisters and professors. It was a nice way to meet each other.

With other fraternities on campus, it comes down a lot to sports. We play football, basketball, softball, and other sports against the other fraternities on campus, and while it gets competitive as hell while we're playing, everyone ends up getting to know each other better. That way, when we're in the student union on Monday, or if a few guys are in the gym and see each other, there's that recognition, usually leading to B.S.'ing and, thus, better relations.

When it comes to sororities - that mostly comes down to one-on-one contact. Girls become friends with guys, or vice versa, get to know other members of the fraternity/sorority, and things kinda just grow out of that. We also help them with fundraisers, philanthropies, singing to little sisters, that type of deal.

On the WVU campus it seems like each fraternity has a sorority they are friendly with. It isn't set in writing anywhere, but it's still there.

I'm a Beta, and we are the most friendly with Pi Beta Phi. That probably does stem from the fact that at least half the brothers have dated pi phi's or are friends with the.
