Wedding Question

For all those out there who are either married, or engaged...does anyone know a good "wedding planning computer program", that would do invitations, announcements, ect?

I don't know of one specifically but I'm sure you can find one out there. Actually my husband's cousin just sent out ones she made herself that are really cool....I will try to find out what program she used.

If you are looking for alternatives, I was able to purchase my invitations through my photographer at a discount.

I did the same thing- got a great discount from my photog on my invitations.

Do you have Kinkos where you are at? I was just there this a.m. and they have really nice formats for invitations. In fact, I did the wedding program using their stationery and my computer.

But don't pull a "sue" and leave the programs at home like I did! oops!

I made my invites from scratch. I got the paper at Staples and just used Microsoft Word to create the invites!!!!
The package from Staples included paper for: invites, rsvp cards, direction cards and programs....and envelopes for invites and rsvp cards! A complete set of 50, for only $30 CDN (I know they have the same sets here in the States too!)
I can email you a copy of my invites on word so you can see what they look like!
Send me an email to sisterplum@hotmail.com if you'd like to see them!

I also printed my wedding invitations and programs on my laser printer, using MS Word. You don't need a special program. I got matching invitation cards, reply cards, and envelopes from my local crafts store, put together a nice design, and ran them off. It's easy and relatively inexpensive, and several people remarked on how professional they looked... "oh, where did you have them done?"

If you're a good calligrapher you can do the addresses by hand (that's what I did). If not, get a calligraphy pen and just write them out in cursive - it looks great.
