Post Greeks on Spring Break

I have always wondered what impression people get about greeks on spring break? if anyone has been to South Padre for spring
break, you will see 30 or so flags from national IFC fraternitites. Below the flags are hundreds of
drinking college students. I have been one of those drinking college students, but I left almost all my letters at home because of the association with my chapter and a spring break atmosphere. Do other spring breakers post national flags at other Spring Break locations? I didn't think much of it when i was there, and I understand there is a sense of pride associated with being greek. But I wonder what message it sends to people watching spring break on television or
non-greeks to see those flags flying above a sea of drunks. What do you all think?
