I was just wondering what was everyones favorite ZTA fact. We did this at chapter and I thought it was kind of fun. Any ZTA fact will do. My favorite fact is Ruby Leigh lived to be 104 years old!
ZLAM - UDZETA
I totally agree BEG. The 3 other groups on campus all have children's philanthropies and usualy we are told how great it is that ours deals with all women. It's something we all are going to deal with personally or we'll at leats know one woman who has breat cancer in our lifetime which I think shows how important it is. I'm not knocking work with children, it's just nice to do something for ALL women, not just the short stacks
I also like that there's no Inactivity in Zeta...once you are a Zeta you're an active for life. Zeta truly is forever!!
I agree too BrownEyedGirl.
The sororities on my campus tend to have philanthropies that deal with children. Nothing wrong with that at all but I remember when I went through rush I was so impressed that ZTA was a woman's organization who's main goal was to help raise money to fight a disease that can affect all women. It hit home for me more than the other sorority's philanthropies did.
First of all, I definitely agree about our philanthropy. It means a lot to me that we deal with such an important women's issue.
As far as favorite Zeta facts, I have two. One is that since Plummer Jones (who grandson spoke at SC Zeta Day - very cool!) was a KA and helped design our badge, that our badge and theirs closely resemble each other. I think it's neat to have a little connection with another GLO.
My other favorite fact is that while some younger sisters of our founders ended up pledging ZTA, Ruby Leigh was the only one to have a daughter go Zeta, and her name was Parke (which I think is a cool name).
Hey Zeta Ladies,
I also love the fact that we have a connection to another GLO but my favorite fact is that we are a fraternity and not a sorority in name is because we were founded by women.
